Mix first half of recipe ingredients (potatoes, butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla) and pour into a greased 9x9 casserole dish.
Mix together the rest of the ingredients for the topping. Spread evenly on the top of the casserole.
Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
