A casserole that’s yummy and easy to cook. Makes the best gravy.

Ingredients

  • 4 - 6 pork chops
  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp Cajun spices (Tony Chachere's or Slap Ya Mama)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 (10 oz) can golden cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup each parsley and green onions
  • 1 6 oz can mushroom steak sauce or brown gravy (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Spray 9xl3 baking pan with pam.

Step 2

Slice potatoes. Season both sides of the pork chops and potato slices with the pepper, onion powder and Cajun spices.

Step 3

Lay sliced potatoes in bottom of pan, then layer sliced onions on top of potatoes, then the parsley and green onion, finally place pork chops over onions.

Step 4

Mix together the soup and brown gravy with 1/2 can water and spread over pork chops. Or if not using the brown gravy, spread soup over pork chops. Using soup can put about l/2 can of water and pour over the top of the mixture.

Step 5

Cover and cook about one and a half hours at 350 degrees.

Chicken can be used in place of the pork chops.
