Persimmon Bread III

Persimmon wood is very heavy and hard. It was once used to make golf clubs.
Persimmon trees can take up to seven years before they produce fruit.
Persimmons are used to make baked goods, such as cookies and breads.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon each salt, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamom and nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup persimmon pulp

Directions

Step 1

Combine the flour, baking soda, sugar, salt, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon.

Step 2

Add one beaten egg and one cup persimmon pulp to the mixture.

Step 3

Pour into a well greased bread pan and bake 375° for 40 minutes.
