These pecan bars are the “melt in your mouth” kind. Great for the holiday season or when you want to prepare an extra special treat.
Grease bottom and sides of l3x9 inch baking pan
Reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling.
In large bowl combine remaining dry cake mix, butter, and l egg. Mix until crumbly. Press into prepared pan. Bake 350 degrees for l5 or 20 minutes until golden brown.
Meanwhile prepare filling. Pour filling over partially baked crust, sprinkle with pecans, return to oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until filling sets. Cool and cut in bars. Makes about 4 dozen.
