Oven Fried Cajun Potato Wedges

Potato Wedges are one of the easiest dishes to prepare. Baking makes this dish more heart healthy for calorie conscious Cajuns.

Ingredients

  • 3 large red or sweet potatoes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Cut your potatoes (and carrots, if you like) into small wedges. Mix together and sprinkle the potatoes with 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/4 tsp cayenne and 1 tsp salt. You could also add 1/2 tsp thyme and 1/2 tsp oregano, if you like. Alternatively or in addition, sprinkle with any type of Cajun seasoning such as Tony Chachere's, Bruce's, or Season All.

Step 3

After seasoning the potato, spray the potatoes with Pam. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes or until tender turning halfway in the cooking process.
