In medium bowl combine pecans and coconut, set aside.
In a heavy saucepan over medium high heat, stir sugar, milk, corn syrup and butter.
Cook and stir until it comes to a rolling boil. Let boil and stir for 3 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, then pecan coconut mixture.
Remove from heat, then stir for about 4 minutes until begins to cool and thicken.
Drop by spoonful onto wax paper and let set up for an hour to an hour and a half.
Makes about 24 to 30
