A family favorite! I grew up eating these cookies, as did my children. Now their children will as soon as their first baby teeth come in.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, cream the brown and granulated sugar, eggs and Crisco. Sift together the flour, soda, salt, and baking powder and stir into creamed mixture from the step above. Stir in the coconut and oatmeal. Batter will be very hard to stir.
Drop from tablespoon 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for about 8 minutes. Cool slightly and remove from pan.
