Ingredients
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 small bag great northern beans (dried)
- Ham bone or 1 lb chopped ham
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Step 1
Put all ingredients in a heavy soup pot with enough water to cover all ingredients.
Step 2
Boil on medium heat until beans are tender, usually 4 to 5 hours, checking the level of liquid as it cooks and adding more water if needed. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
