Spread filling in an ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole pan. Put in a cold oven and set heat at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
In a separate bowl combine the Bisquick, milk, sugar and butter. Drop 6 spoonfuls on the warm pie filling. Sprinkle with sugar if desired.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until biscuit topping is brown.
