Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour, sifted before measuring
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 angel cake or bundt cake pan
Directions
Step 1
Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time.
Step 2
Sift together the flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt. Add to the creamed mixture with the milk and vanilla.
Step 3
Pour into a greased lightly floured pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1 and 1/2 hours.
