Chocolate pie is great for holidays or any day your grandchildren wishes their favorite pie to be made.
Mix sugar and cornstarch and stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils. Once the mixture starts to boil, stir one more minute.
Beat the eggs yolks lightly in a pyrex type bowl. Temper the eggs yolks by adding a small amount of the hot liquid mixture while whisking the eggs vigorously at the same time. Add more of the mixture until half of the hot mixture is into the egg yokes and eggs are tempered.
Blend the eggs into the hot mixture. Boil and stir for one additional minute. .
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and pre melted chocolate.
Pour into prebaked pie shell. Chill for at least two hours before serving.
