Combine the flour, cocoa, soda and salt. Set aside
In a separate bowl, combine the mashed bananas, 1/2 cup chocolate chips, butter, canola oil, brown sugar, vanilla and egg.
Add the flour mixture and fold in. Do not over-beat
Pour in well greased loaf pan
Put ¼ cup chocolate chips over the batter and slightly push in with spoon
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in 9x5 well-greased loaf pan -
Test with toothpick - it's clean - it's done
Once baked, let cool at least 10 minutes
