Al’s Turkey Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey meat
  • 2 (16 oz) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 (15 oz) cans kidney beans, undrained
  • 2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 6 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tsp crushed garlic or 2 cloves
  • 1/4 cup cooking sherry
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can beef bouillon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 whole bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter

Directions

Step 1

On a stovetop in a medium pan add a tablespoon of oil, brown the ground turkey meat and drain excess oil. To the turkey meat add all other ingredients except the peanut butter. Cook on a very low for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add the peanut butter in the last half hour of cooking.

Served topped with cheese, onions, and Tabasco and a few crackers.
